Who has removed the TRD decals from the side of their Tacoma's? I have and now I have mixed feelings and think I'll be ordering new ones to replace them.

I have not, but thats the first thing people look for. Not that it matters because you know you have the better truck, and guys like us that can tell by the rims or seats.
    - It all depends what you like, it looks classier without.

i think the TRD decals make the truck. Without them it looks civilized and girly. At least thats my opinion. I actually think all trucks no matter the make or model look better with some kind of graphic at the back letting you know its TRD, or 4X4 or whatever. So not only do i think it looks better but i also like people to know what kind of badass machine i'm driving.

Thanks guys. I pretty much agree...I started missing them the very next morning after removing them. I thought...I know what I have and that is enough, but now when I pass others with the TRD package(s) I feel like they are looking at mine and thinking "ha, he just has the base model!!":(

I am thinking of modifying the new stickers with an ezacto knife as follows:

    • Put the TRD on the side

    • Put the "Off Road" from one on the tailgate under the chrome Preerunner emblem
Or should I just go back to factory?????????

There's also other TRD decals out there. I don't remember who but some one here said they found camo ones and was planning to put them on his truck...I wonder what ever happened with that.

I actually would have gotten a TRD if I thought I could get 24+ MPG out of them. I think the TRD sticker creates more drag, and the makes your MPG worse. :p

If I bought a TRD truck the first thing I would do when I got home would be to remove the stickers.

Check this out. I think the TRD decal makes the truck. I don't have the TRD package but I like how the decal looks so I made my own SR5 decal. I work at a sign shop.

Either that, or I don't need the decal to know my truck was worth it. ;)

I would remove the stickers first thing also! But hey, I never liked stickers on my toys either when I was a kid... they were the first think to always look dirty after you played with them a while...
