    For back info,
I’ve got a 2017 TRD Sport with stock suspension.

Found a guy willing to ship his lightly used Fox 2.0 front shocks with coils along with a set of 5100 rear shocks for $750.

Just curious if I could find a better “deal” to upgrade the sport suspension.
I don’t off-road the truck. 90% pavement driving with some gravel roads thrown in a couple times a month

    Brand new the prices are:
    Fox 2.0 front is $910 - https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/s...-02-002_(PAIR)_-_for_2005__Toyota_Tacoma.html
    Bilstein 5100 rear is $206 (or $220-ish for extended travel) - https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/s...AIR)_-_24-186728_for_2016__Toyota_Tacoma.html
    Total - ~$1100 ish

    Fox 2.0 all around is $1338 - https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p400/FOX_Level_1_Kit_-_16__Toyota_Tacoma_(FOX16LVL1).html

A depends on what "lightly used" means and how many miles are on them.

The guy said they were on his truck for a couple months while his normal setup was being rebuilt so I didn’t ask specifics

    Oh look, another mod....

I agree with @Dank Donkeh Luvver; its a good price. But ask the guy how many miles are on them and how much or how hard he wheel'd with them on.

    The real question is... WHY?

Is there something wrong with the shocks on your truck? Something so terribly bad that you would risk spending $750 bucks on used shocks? I mean... why is the guy selling shocks that he's not happy with?

What attracts you to spending money on shocks you don't really need (not off roading) and someone else is getting rid of because they are not happy with them? Do you have investments and a plan for retirement? Is it fully funded?

The 2.0s would provide a bit of a lift for the front of my truck as well as be a better ride than the stock sport shocks with 96,000 miles on them. Little gift to myself to upgraded at 100k

I don’t think it’s reasonable to suggest that someone must be hitting the 415c limits every year before they buy useless things for fun. If so, you’ve got a LOT of people to question on this site. None of us NEED our mods. We like them.

Yeah I don’t “need” anything. Hell I don’t even “need” the truck but I wanted it. Just curious for opinions on the available setup I found :p

See you get it. Yeah the suspension does fine but it’s a reward for the truck and myself. May go a different route that this post suggests but still have a few thousand to decide

Yesssir, just trying to keep the ride quality comfortable and better. Especially since I want to keep this truck til I retire from the fire dept.

Me personally I’d save up a but, purchase new since its a good investment.

You will throw the 5100s away and replace them with fox 2.0 so figure that into it.

Yeah I thought about that already. I could just get the fronts from him and buy the rears, new, separately

A lot of the jeep guys have the foxes and they do well on the washboard/gravel roads that are endemic here in arizona. My truck has eibachs and they are horrible for washboard. Another proven set is the 6112/5160.

Oh yeah I’ve looked into that option as well. I just knew the fox reputation and thought that may be worth it. Need to research more
