The Toyo and Yokohama would have to be 265s and the selling point of the Wildpeaks would be 275s. I was just wondering if you guys think the Wilpeak quality would be as well built as the other two seeing as they are cheaper? I'd like to get the most miles out of these AT tires as possible. Thanks!

Endless threads about tire choices on these forums. Did some searching around here and ended up with the Falken Wildpeaks in 265/75/16, and I love them.

I'm leaning towards them too. Would totally pull the trigger but i'm not sure if I would rub or not.

Not sure what wheels/size you're running, but I'm on stock OR wheels and I'm not even close to rubbing even jumping up to 75.

Running 4Runner Pro wheels so +4 offset. From What I hear it tends to be g2g, only one way to find out I guess

Lower price does not necessarily mean an inferior product and Falken Wildpeak is a good example of this.

Good point. I'm honestly just a skeptic haha, but there's so many good things said about these tires and they're the only ones I know of to make a C rated tire in 275

275 Wildpeaks on Runner wheels, no lift, to get them to barely touch I need to hit the swale in my driveway pretty fast while locking the steering. I need to do it a few more times to see what exactly rubs a little but I believe it’s the plastic inner fender area. I’m very happy with how quiet these tires are and the price was good, delivery was really quick too with Prime. Haven’t been off road yet but I’m gonna definitely stuff them.

I had fallen wildpeak p285/70/17 ran them for 50k miles. I liked them, wore evenly, nice design and sidewall. They were heavy though at 51 lbs.

I now have toyo at3 in a p285/70/17. They balanced well each wheel took 0-3 ounces. Ride is smooth similar to the falken, but I think the falkens were actually more quiet when they were new. These weigh only 46lb a tire, but not a fan of the weak looking sidewall. The tread itself is nice though

I've got 265/75/16, standard load Open Country AT3s, have ab 23,000 miles on them so far. Have seen a little wear in them, but nothing alarming. They were a little greasy in the rain at first, but they've gotten better over time. I had AT2s before, and they were great (70,000 miles+). These will easily get 50,000+miles.

Been running my Wildpeaks for about 20k miles. Rotate every 5k and they've been great.

    OP,

While I love a good tire discussion (again, for those that don't, it is okay to just move along), the problem is it is really hard to get an accurate or fair assessment unless someone has driven all three sets of tires for a long time. Which is rare. What we do know is that the Falken's have the lowest cost (I think !) and that there are a number of good folks / posters here who have them and really like them. Given that, why not save the money and give the Falken's a try?

For the record, I have only had Nittos on my Tacoma but wanted to try the Falken's. Unfortunately, they were not available when I was upgrading my tires so I stayed with what I know and what I could get.

It's crazy but my toyo we're $50 cheaper a tire than the falkens in a 285

It is funny because tire prices are all over the map ... with major sales and rebates, etc. I paid almost the same for the Nittos that the Falkens were being offered at because they had this buy three get one free deal. I still would have tried the Falkens but they were not available. I also wanted to try the Toyos (which is the parent company of Nitto, I think) and they were not available either. I think they do crazy product availability management across the country ...
