    For everyone that has been following my "Next Upgrade....." thread I have finally come to a decision and placed an order. I ended up ordering the Camburg ball-joint UCAs as well as the Toytec Coilover kit. I got the Camburgs for $359 (TTORA member discount) shipped and the Toytec CO kit with diff. drop for $433.88 (TW/TTORA discount) shipped. I still need to pick up a new set of ball-joints from the parts store for $87. Everything should be here by the end of the week. Thanks everyone for the input!! I will be putting my factory arms and springs up for sale in the coming weeks if anyone is interested.

    nice set up, just out of curiosity what made you go with the ball joint a-arm compared to their uni-ball a-arm? (besides the price)

    Pretty much price in all honesty. I could not see spending close to $700 on a pair of arms when I only lightly wheel my truck. My truck is not going to be seeing any hardcore offroading. The uni-balls would have been nice, but not needed for my use. I also liked the fact that these arms, like the Camburg uni-balls, have a mounting bracket integrated into the arm for the brake line. I won't have to zip-tie to the arm.

    good to know, thanks... im also deciding whether to get the uni-ball or same some cash and get the ball-joint.

    People on here are going to push you to the uni-balls which isn't a bad thing. For me price was a big deal. If I would have got the uni-ball arms I would not have been able to order the coilover kit:D Main reason for ordering both was to fix the alignment issues and address the little bit of "Taco Lean" I have.

    are the ball-joint ones maintenance free? or do you have to lube them every now and then???

    From talking with Scott at Camburg the ball-joint arms use the OEM style ball-joints which, I think, are maintenance free. The ball-joints I am getting are made my Moog.

    do you have to get the moog ones or can u re-use the stock ones?

    Scott mentioned that you can re-use the ball-joints from the stock arms, but I figured I would just get new ones just in case. I have heard that as you press out a ball-joint the rubber bushing can tear rendering it useless.

    I almost went that route, but ended talking with Scott at Camburg about his ball-joint based arms. For the price you can't beat them.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Camburg UCA's didn't correct alignment issues.

    I think all of the aftermarket UCAs do. I never heard the Camburgs didn't correct alignment.

    Boy this would have been nice to see earlier today. I will send a an email to Scott at Camburg to get more clarification. Maybe the issues have been resolved? I know the posts were about a year old or so.

    UPDATE: I just sent an e-mail Scott to get some clarification on alignment issues.

    Ok, just got a response back from Scott at Camburg. Here it is:

    MY E_MAIL TO SCOTT:
    Scott,
    I wanted to touch base with in regard to a few forum posts I have come across since ordering the ball-joint based UCAs. It seems a few people purchased the uni-ball based UCAs and had some serious issues with alignment. One of the people, ##### is his user name, had massive problems getting his truck to align properly with the Camburg arms. Apparently he was never able to get the truck aligned correctly on 3" of lift and had to go with a completely different UCA vendor. Now the posts I came across are about a year old and I was wondering if this is something that has been looked at by Camburg and resolved? Also will I have an issue with these arms being that I am running Toytec Adjustable Coil Overs at 2.5"? Looking back I should asked these questions prior to placing my order this morning, but as I said I just came across these threads this evening. I hope you can shed some light. Thanks!!!

    SCOTT's RESPONSE TO ME:
    We have had ZERO issues with alignment. That person was using our arm
    with a 3"+ spacer and a lift coil. His truck was setup way too tall and
    who knows if the alignment tech knew what they were doing. It's an
    isolated incident. Some alignment shops try and align it to factory
    specs, where we build more caster into our arms so they try and take it
    out. You want more caster in these trucks as they drive and handle much
    better. I tell people to tell their alignment shop to maximize caster
    then set camber and toe to factory specs.

    We install these on 10-20 trucks a month .... We have never had a truck
    not align.
