Thanks for the helpful assitance here. I test drove both the 2.7 and 4.0L A/C 4x4's the last 2 days. Both very nice. The 4.0L auto won me over. New truck in Pyrite mica with brown interior, SR5, tow package, due in early November. Price is 26,200. Sound reasonable?

Great choice, same options as I have but mine's an 08. I don't remember exactly what I paid, but it was very close to that. You won't be dissapointed with the V-6. I drive mine with sort of a light foot most of the time and i average 22 MPG.

I KNEW you'd end up that way, lol! Good choice.

Mine was $23,500 minus 4X4 and towing. Best way to know is to check out Edmunds.com.

NO MODS YET! 20" Enkeis with NT420 performance tires coming soon...inspired by genxer36.
Yeah I got assistance here too that helped me buy a Tacoma. But just recently my squalls with some members turned bitter. So beware! Don't spend too much time posting and enjoy your tacoma.

I bought my TRD Offroad for 26.4. That was still good for me cause I bought it outright so I don't lose money on interest payments.

Great choice and very reasonable price for a V6 4x4. I'm sure you done your research on the price also before you went in. What was the window sticker price? And how much under did you get it? Since you still have the papers.

    Now let the mods begin...

    1. seat cover
    1.1 Weathertec/Husky floor liners
    1.2 Bed mat
    2. rear defense, like a tow hitch or something
    3. frontal defense, like a bull bar or something more offroad
    4. side defenses, nerf bar sor something for offroad
    5. undercarriage defenses if offroad
    6. etc. etc.

I think I paid around that price for my 2008. So, I believe that you got a decent price. I hate bargaining at dealerships and have always felt ripped off in some way or another after making a purchase but it's best NOT to think about it or you go nuts. lol

After you pick it up, you'll love the truck and have a big smile on your face driving it around. Oh, and your mind will be on what you could add to it. lol

    Good choice and good luck.

+1 Good job Wilson! It's a forum, all we do is beat each other up. That's why your computer has an off button! Sorry for jacking your thread blueridge. By the way glad you went with the V6.

For immediate accessories I will buy; bug shield, floor liners (not the kind I had on my Tundra :() and I thought I saw a new front bull bar on here the other day at a nice price, but now I cannot find it. I may make my own bed mat from a rubber pad they sell at the local feed mill (think people put 'em in horse stalls) if the size is right.

Be careful with the bug shield. I've seen quite a few folks complain about paint coming off from using them (not sure what brand, though).

Floor liners, I have Husky and am happy with them. I would've gotten Weathertech's for the twice the price, though, if not the Husky's.

Bed mat, that's not a bad idea that you have, a couple folks have done that. I got my mat here for $63.99 (free shipping): http://www.tsetruckstuff.com/cart/p...p=&PHPSESSID=fd9982cee3101ef33440a25992a9cee7

Use the OEM bug shield from Toyota. It 80 some bucks and I have had no problems with mine.
