Deck plate ?

    Well i did the 4" deck plate mod on 96 taco 3.4 did not notice any difference can it be the filter is stock and not a after market afe?:confused:

    Yes the cover is off I placed. An order for a afe pro dry.

    Nope. I thought so too, before I tried it myself. Pretty good mod, and beats most CAI's in hp gains.

    I don't have the slips, but this is my write-up: http://www.nwtoys.com/tech/deckplate and I was there, paying close attention, when the 4Runner mentioned at the bottom was dyno'd. In fact, pictures from that day are on my website, along with my dyno sheet.

    after i did mine, i felt slightly more power but i thought it was all in my head. but my wife drove it and she said it felt more responsive too, so it wasnt just me... i have a k&n air filter, dunno if that helps it any...
