deckplate question

I just bought the things to install the deckplate and had a question on shift points. I read somewhere that doing the deckplate mod will cause the computer to adjust itself and the shift points might be off for a tank of gas. I'm about to go on a road trip on Tuesday and want to know if you guys would just do it and not worry about the changed shift patterns or hold off until I get back from my trip. Might be a dumb question, but thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks.

 

If you're worried about it, hold off. It's a simple mod that can be done anytime.

Personally, I would rather have the time to drive it around for a week before taking off on an extended road trip. At least if something unforseen happens I'm not stuck in unfamiliar territory with unfamiliar mechanics.

I doubt it will do much of anything, though.

 

if you dont like it then put the plug back in and its back to normal stock

I don't think it'll have any impact on your shift points.
