its been raining pretty good here in the bay area today and i wanted to know if the dangers are signifigant in leaving the cover off of my deckplate mod while its raining like hell? anyone have had any damage or decrease in performance. I put it on a week ago and I really missed having it off.

Rain will not get in. There are little holes inside that water will drain out in case water ever gets in. My hole is 4" wide and NO plate to cover it. With the amount of rain we have last year in GA nothing got inside.

Ever see a cold air intake? The entire filter is exposed. I have one right now and rain is no prob. Going through 3 inch puddles, however, is enough to get the filter media wet, and almost hydrolock the engine.

Gonna trade my intake for stock and deckplate asap.

I've never put it back on. Don't even remember where it is. Glove box? Under the seat? Shit! Now I've gotta go look for it before it drives me crazy! Thanks!

I never put mine on either. I think my dog used the deck lid as a frisby. Not even sure where the darn thing is.

That's sacrilegious... Hell I didn't even have the damn plate in when I reinstalled the airbox... Got it bolted back in, reconnected battery... fired 'er up and grinned like an idiot as I revved it. :D :headbang:
