Yup, not any time soon. lol. Your talking about the "slider leg" that goes to the frame? If I ever have to take it off, I have tube clamps to weld in after I cut the leg and I will just notch out the bottom of the bedside since it's so close to the bottom anyway, so the leg can just drop out through the notch. I should have actually done it that way, but I was so dead and tired and just wanted to finish it.

So i have to ask. Wont these just flex into the body panel?

 

They might. They are about 1/2" away from the panels. I tried running it with a bigger gap and it looked retarded, so I'll deal with a little rubbing. My body panels are already bent, dinged, and scratched, so figured what the heck, just run it.

 

I let my wife know that too. She held every piece where she thought it looked the best as I tacked everything in place. She had the final say, if she says F-it, I say F-it. haha

 

Wanted to change the look of the front end so I picked up a generic TRD pro grill from Amazon. (And poser pic at the beach while testing the new lockers out)

Haven't been on in a while, probably because it took me so long to cut all of this with an angle grinder. I forgot to borrow the plasma cutter from work and figured what the heck. Anyway, my aluminum mid skid got bent enough to flatten the bottom of my y-pipe a little so I replaced it with this. 3/16" plate doubled up to 3/8" in the areas that bent on the aluminum skid, the vertical end rails and in front of the crossmember. The main reason for building this is because I need a steel mid skid that bolts up to the Pelfrey IFS skid.

 

Finally got these beadlocks mounted. Ultra Wheels had custom spacers made for the wheels to accommodate the extra thick bead the Irok tires have. It's been a long night and I'll get these on my truck in the morning.

Thanks man! Yeah, these wheels are something else, machining was perfect, flawless. They actually look better in real life lol.

 

Do you like the finish? Do you think it will pit?

 

I don't think so. Same as all the other old school machined finish wheels. Just need to take care of them.

 

One more poser pic. I forgot to mention, the beadlocks and tires required no balancing. Smooth as glass, as fast as my slow truck can go.
