I have a 3-leaf AAL and I left my overload leaf in. My rear hasn't sagged any yet and I have my full size spare and a big container of water in the bed to try and help it sag some.

Cab Mount Chop plates ordered from BAMF today. No rubbing as of now but I figure I might as well chop it anyway. Clearance for the future.

What did you do (rust prevention-wise) to protect the frame after drilling it for your sliders? And may I use your frame drill when I get my BAMF sliders??

Welcome to the club!...lol That drill will come in handy! Just some rattle can with primer-paint combo will do. That's what we used...

I'm not sure yet but I want a kick out. I'm sure it'll be useful being that I'm a long bed. I want my gf to be able to use them as steps so I was thinking 10 but I don't want them to stick out past the fenders and tires so much so I was also thinking 20. I don't know... maybe I can check yours out one of these days since we're in the same hood.

I can help you drill those holes as long as the drill isn't tied up on the jobsite. Let me know when you need help.

I got mine at 10 degrees for my kids but I think the 20 looks better. Now that I have the 10's I think my kids could climb in with the 20's.

Thanks a lot! I probably won't see sliders till next year tho.

Yeah I'm leaning more towards 20's. I'll just wait till I make one of the meets to check out what you guys have.

You wouldn't happen to have an install thread for these would you? I saw them originally in TacoDane's LED thread but I can't find anything that goes in depth.

Beautiful truck btw! (or else I wouldn't consider stealing your ideas :p)

Thanks man. I basically followed other write-ups that were on "tapping into dome light circuit". There's several write-ups on wiring lights to the dome light dimming circuit. The dimming ground to tap into is in the drivers side fuse panel, behind the coin tray thingy. I think I posted some pictures in tacodanes thread where I tapped into the dimming ground. I used an add-a-circuit on the dome light fuse under the hood to tap into a constant "hot" wire.

Rattle can self-etching primer/paint does the trick
