Damn!...315's! I'm jelly... I assume you'll trim the fenders as well to accommodate the wheels? I'm glad you're tackling the project so we can all see how it comes out!..:D Should be badass!

Yes, I'm sure I'm going to have to cut and clearance a lot of shizz. I keep looking at my 285's and they look smaller and smaller every day. lol

I know, but I wasn't sure I was going to get new tires until just recent. I was going to ask you, I figured I was too late. :(

You can always get tires but supercharger once in a life time.

Yes, that would be nice but I'm thinking regear with the 315's and I'll be happy with just that. My wife was nice enough to allow the tire purchase. After my truck is paid off the plan is to get her a 4-runner to pimp out.

Yeah...the first cut's the deepest...:p It's gonna look sweet though! You gonna keep smaller tires around for safety inspections? Or you think they will fit within the fenders?

I plan on going 285's for my next set. 315's would be the shit, but I can't see the justification other than the cool look. My gas milage would suffer and regearing is not my thing. At least not as long as I lived on Oahu. If I was in the mainland...different story...:D I think with my 18" wheels the 285's will have a nice profile and not require too much since I'm already running 275's and I like them. A little bit bigger is always welcome...lol I might still need to do a CMC though and beat some pinch welds, but that's not too big a deal. Besides...there are some talented welders around here that can help me out...:)

I'll get them to pass. They'll be borderline in the fender, by measuring it now the tread section will be just within. They'll be an inch wider so stick out half an inch from where they are now. I don't think it'll be as bad as some think.

lmao! None of that for me. I'm going to start trimming fenders and stuff next week. I think socalduckslayer was running the same rim/tire combo and his looks like it would pass recon.

Take lots of pics on the cutting. I think I'm eventually going 35's as well.

Such a rip off for having gears installed on Oahu. I'm going to order assembled front and rear third members built by ECGS. I trust them more than the some of the shops around here. I'll take my chances with myself installing the thirds. This is still in the future though. One thing at a time. :sawzall:

So much for one thing at a time. Haha! Let me know when you're doing the install. I'm interested in learning and helping.

Ha, I'm going to be winging it on that one too. I have no choice but to get it done because I am going to have to ship my stock thirds back to ECGS. My wife agreed to just finish the build with an ARB locker, so I guess that'll be coming with the rear third member. No sense in having someone have to set the gears again if I do the locker later so I'm going to have ECGS do it with the gears.
