These look interesting too. If they keep the same strength as a uniball, I might consider them as a replacement when my uniballs wear out. It would have to be cheaper though or might as well just replace with uniballs.

I'd switch my UCA's for those.

But what if it's equal strength to a uniball? But then it might cost the same as a uniball.

If it was equal strength and equal price, Icon would probably just stop using uniballs and all their UCAs would come with those BJs.

Your probably right. And just my luck, I would be the first person to break down on the trail using those things. lol

I think that the main issue is size. If the Ball joint is supposed to be as strong as the uniball it will have to be significantly larger. Then it becomes a problem when it droops down and hit the coil, losing travel.

Idk, though, Camburg has Ball joints that are supposed to be the same travel as uniballs, just without the strength.

Its a retrofit ball joint. So you just replace the uniball with a ball joint that fits into your ICON UCA. So clearance isn't an issue.

So like I was saying if it is as strong as a uni ball, gives as much angle as the uniball, and is cheaper, icon would just stop putting uniballs in their UCAs, and just put their magic ball joints

Must not be as strong, then. But, as long as you don't manage to break it, it should last longer with proper maintenance. Everything is all greased up and sealed, not exposed like the uniball. BJs are probably a better option for all the street trucks anyway
