I apologize in advance if this has been posted before. Searching for 'Deer Protection' gave me a bunch of unrelated results. Boy, we go off topic a lot here don't we.

Anyway, I was looking for a deer protection solution. The brush/grille guard is obviously the first thing that came to mind. I'd like to know if anyone has any experience hitting a deer with those and whether they provided any significant protection.

Please let me know if you have any other idea as well.

ARB, there was a link somewhere on here where an FJ hit a deer at 50+ and only bent the license plate, I will try to find the link.

a brush or bull guard will just get slammed back into the bumper/grille/hood. u need to look to something like the new CBI bumper, shockrocks, arb, etc

bull brush whatever you want to call those useless things will not do anything but damge your truck even more. get a damn arb, allpro maybe even, shockworks something along those lines.

better yet just have your passenger carry a shotgun and shoot the damn thing before you hit it!

Borla Catback Exhaust, Snorkel, 33s on either 16's or 18's, ARB Bumper, All Pro LT w/Walker Evan Shocks front and back, All Pro expedition leaf pack, 10,000lb Superwinch, Intake Manifold Spacer, Bed Rack with ARB RTT, Rotopack and Hi Lift mounted, Husky Liner mats and an air freshener from 1995.
Well. Freeze was coming back up from the Rubicon (Unscathed I should add) and his a deer with his Allpro. He's running the Allpro LT kit w/33's to give you an idea of how high his truck sits. Anywho, bumper never even looked like it had hit anything, but the deer smacked the stinger, whipped around, took out his light, part of a fender I believe and his rear access cab door.

That's why I want a CBI or ARB bumper.
