(b) Intermittent radio/single CD unit problems...volume control knob doesn't work; radio changes channels; cd player shuts off; digital display goes haywire. Replacement radio/CD unit on order.

Havent noticed anything yet. Havent had the truck that long but I do notice the ticking noise with the engine. I think this is just normal for toyota engines. I deal with many cars with my job and every toyota that I see seems to have that ticking noise.

I'm coming up on 30,000 miles and want to make sure I get things fixed under warranty before its up. I have the dreadful high pitch windshield noise at high speed in cross winds. My freaking driver and passenger side doors click/squeak/stick when I hit bumps in the road. Seems like that issue is more present during really humid days. Almost like the weather stripping is sticking and rubbing on painted metal. When I have my windows down half way they rattle when I hit bumps or close the door. MY EXHAUST DULLS THE PAINT ON MY PASSENGER REAR FENDER (dealers fix was a stupid chrome exhaust tip). Oh and the paint on my front bumper is stained from bug guts. I have the black sand pearl color. Anyone know if any of these issues are addressed under manufacturers warranty? I'm especially curious about the exhaust. I've heard of tacoma owners "dumping" the exhaust. I assume that means cutting the pipe so that it outlets under the truck instead of off to the passenger side. If anyone has thoughts or experience with these issues I'd love to hear about it. Thanks in advance and sorry for the lengthy post.

the problem, might be minor, but it aint right.... on speed bumps (not speeding) the rear springs go "clack clack". could be that retaining ring thing. So the dealer just used expanding foam to silence it. It worked...for say 1 year. Broadway toyota did this.Great truck , iwont let this be the measure of it , but still.

Does anyone know if Toyota has any known fixes for this yet? I'm getting close to the end of my warranty and I absolutely hate the rattling that I hear from the bed when I have my rear sliding window open.

My regular cab does the same thing. Maybe the people with the longer wheel bases can’t hear this since the noise is farther back. If it was a Cadillac I’d be pissed, but on a truck it’s probable no big deal.

What could be wrong with rear leaf springs anyway, except they can’t carry a shitload of weight? But the regular cab is not on the TBS list that everybody is so concerned about. Actually stiffer rear springs on the regular cab would make it seem like the truck was trying to buck you through the windshield, so no thanks on that.

A few times now I've heard this clunk when the powertrain unloads at slow speeds. It only seems to happen when traveling slowly, under a moderate load, and the throttle is dropped just enough. It's like the driveshaft yoke is banging at the center bearing support or something.

'09 V6 DC LB with only 6000 miles of light duty service.

I really don't think the driveshaft is very well suspended.

Only concerns I have had is an intermitted problem with shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Now it has a squeak when it is at an idle. Orginally thought is was a belt concern, but after taken it to the dealer ship 3 times, they did not find anything. After some more investigation I find it coming from my tranny (noise stops when depressed). They have now heard it and think it is the throw out bearing, so the tranny comes out next week......... Will let you know.

    Anyone else have this concerns???

wants to steer to the right while cruising. Dealer states this is normal, the way Toyota designed it so if you fall asleep it will steer the truck away from oncoming traffic.

The dealer replaced the radio and that cured it.
