6a) Cruise controll would only work for 500 miles, and never work again. It was replaced three times with some lovely people form toyota southeast combing over the truck to find out what the issue was. Eventually replaced with a TOYOTA cruise, and not just an aftermarket they decided to put on.

6b) HORRIBLE vibration arround 50 and higher. Still no fix.....and contimplating geting a domestic POS i know will just run and rust.......

Fought with the dealer about the tires being bad, they refused to do anything, Toyota Corporate is reimbursing me for my new Nitto's :D. Got the TSB completed which gave me Bilstein shocks instead of stock, rides much better.

I'll have to pretend that i am hearing them.

I bought mine in November in New York, so if this is the scenario it takes to hear the noise, i likely won't heat it until spring if it is there.

so far i have had only two issues. 1. engine ticking just started this weekend on the driver side (any ideas? old guy who saw me checking under the hood said bent pushrod, could this be true?) 2. had a horribly loud clunk from both rear brakes when i pressed down. turned out to be that the brakes are supposed to have a lot of play, dealership fixed it with a "heavy duty grease" as the tech told me (stopped the clunk and no problem since)

Vibration on acceleration and braking. Had the brakes looked at, said rotors were warped so they machined them, pads were fine. Also they said one of my tires was totally out of balance and all the tires very low on pressure, that doesnt make sense since they just did a balance and rotation 1 month earlier. This seems to help a little. After the rebalance the vibration and pulling went away at high speeds, these things are very sensitive to this. Also make sure all the dirt and road residue is cleaned out of your Rims, it makes a difference. The vibration while stopping still excist.

I have notice also on the vibration while stopping that when I pull into my garage there is no vibration while stopping, smooth surface, but on the roads it vibrates till i completly stop. Which make me think that it has to do with the tires / road surface. I am not used to driving a truck so I dont know.

Ticking noise but I hear that is normal operation, seemed to quite down when i switched to synthetic, or maybe i am just used to it.

Had a problem with long cranking while starting, or taking twice to start. Dealer updated or did something with my computer. seems to be better now.

I think Toyota and Jeep must have contracted from the same supplier. I have a 2007 Rubicon that has plastic door panels and dash that scratch with anything harder than a tissue....

Brian was with me but thats not the same squeak that he heard, this one decided to reappear and it sounds like its coming from the back door but I haven't had anyone competent enough try to figure it out. I might have to head down your way some day and use your skills Chris ;) The suspension is also squeaking again.. bad

14,456 miles and only 2 problems. Wind noise from windshield and after coming to a complete stop I sometimes get a bump. Sometimes more severe than others. First time it happened i thought the person behind me bumped into me. I am putting it in to get the TSB for the rear suspension and to get the wind noise taken care of and I'll have them check for the bumping.

    6) A few small things.. a) When listening to CD's on lower volume (0-15), the subwoofer behind the backseat rumbles really loud at random times in a song. b) a few paint defects on the outside looks like a small weld on the driver side back door.

Wish i had pics to show u the paint defects, but its late.
