We've gone back to the drawing board with our popular front bumper and made some changes. We liked our old Tacoma bumper but we felt we could improve strength and durability along with function. We used the same 3d software we used on our new Tundra bumper and the same design to help make our Tacoma bumper as good if not better than the Tundra bumper.

2005-2011 bumper is almost done. The 2012-2014 coming soon.

One of the biggest changes is the shackle point being one solid piece of 1/2in plate cut down that goes from the top of the bumper to the bottom.

We also changed the mounting points and put a stronger frame mount that wraps the bumper into the frame better.

Will they still be the same general appearance as current production bumpers? Anything changing to approach angles, how the ends come up to the fender flare lines, or with the center "dip" with the 2012+ models? I will be ordering one soon and like them the way it is now. I know some said they'd like the ends longer to match flare line but I think they are good how they are. Others mentioned filling the gap or contouring the top to fit the 2012+ models. Again, I prefer it the way it is but would like to know what's in store for the new 2012+ models. Keep up the good work.

Most of the changes no one will notice on the 2005-2011. These have been difficult bumpers to build in house since day one and most of the changes will fix that. The internal changes will be to strengthen it and simplify the design making it easier to assemble. The outside will only see a slight change in the face of the bumper near the bottom where the sides are just finished off better.

The 2012-2014 bumper, we have not designed yet but we get a mixed reviews of "there's a gap" and "don't change it". After considerable amount of looking at possible fixes, we think we know which way to go with it and it will be a complete top portion redesign. We like the over all look of it now and don't want to simply add a bandaid fix of some steel to fill the gaps made in the new 2012-2014 trucks. So a redesign In our opinion is the only way to go about it.

I guess I'll have to wait and see the redesign of the 2012+ bumper before I get one. Seeing that I'm looking for the gap to put a LED bar there, if the redesign doesn't have it would it be possible to fit the 2005-2011 bumper on a later model front end?

Also, with the three hoop bumper, how wide of a Rigid E-Series can you fit in the gap? They have the 30" and 28" but I'm not sure how tight it'll be. I've seen the one you guys mounted on a 4Runner and am looking to do the same thing. Thanks again.

We can squeeze a 30in but 20in is much easier to fit.

We are going to try and keep the LED bar an option on the redesign.
