Well, the past few months have been pretty rough; amid two family emergencies I also had a good friend pass away in early July. All in all, it's been a pretty shitty summer. With my friend passing away, it just seemed like it really couldn't get worse, but what do you know, I got to attend yet another funeral just last week. I haven't had too much time to take care of myself really well, been having trouble sleeping and eating well, but things will get better with some time.

To top it all off, I won't be getting a Tacoma soon like I had planned. After all the crap that's happened though, it doesn't upset me too much. Although I do really like the truck, my family is the most important thing to me. So, I guess this is a semi-goodbye for now to the forums and to you guys, but I'll still lurk around and chime in every now and then, and hopefully in a year or so I'll be a Tacoma owner.

I'd also like to thank all of you guys as well for answering any questions I've had and for just being so freaking nice. I've been to a lot of forums, and I've got to say that this one is definitely the most courteous one. Catch you guys later.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Sorry to hear about your recent hardships man. You know its the people that really bring out the way that people are here, so Taco or not consider us family. Overall this is just a great group of guys. The truck simply gives us common ground. Hang in there and you will be posting pics and spending all your extra cash on mods before you know it.

I can kinda relate, I lost my Mom this past March to cancer she put up a two year fight but it came back really bad. Then about a month later my Wife's grandmother past away, so that was two funerals in as many months. Part of me dealing with my Mom passing was getting a new truck (my 08 DC). It was what I always wanted and my Wife agreed on me getting it (the truck I already had was an 06). I must say my Wife really there for me and helped me get through a really tough time in my life. I hope things get better for you man, I also drink alot more now than I used to. :D

Best of luck man!!! I had a similar experience when I came back from Iraq in 2005 - and all I can tell you is... take life one day at a time... keep your goals in focus and work steadily towards them... That's what I did... and I got my English Bulldog - which helped greatly! Was nice to have a dog that just listened to me bitch once in a while...

I have also had a year like yours. Ended up having to sell my FJ Cruiser to help pay for my elderly mothers bills. There is no reason to leave the forum just because you do not have a Tacoma. You should stick around and absorb as much info as possible so when you are able to purchase your truck you will get exactly what you want. Good luck to you and I hope things get better and you get out of your funk.

I also want to add my condolences and remind you that some of the "guys" here may actually be women. I agree there's no reason to leave the forum just because you aren't able to get your Taco yet. Stick around for some of the crazy comments and bantering between some of these folks. It will cheer you up for a little while. Take good care of yourself.

I've been where you are now and I know it sucks. Bad. But you will get thru it, you have to take it one day at a time and you will be alright. Don't try to keep your feelings to yourself, it does help to talk to someone and if it does become too hard to deal with and medicine might help, don't be afraid to try it.

There's no stigma in getting help, you have to take care of YOU.

And just because you aren't getting a Tacoma anytime soon doesn't mean you have to leave the forum. I don't have one anymore but I really like this site and the people here. :)
