I have a Rigid SR 30 (30” single row combo beam), with harness and brackets for 3rd gen lower grille mounting. Bought but decided I would rather spend money elsewhere. Make an offer if interested.

    Update: Sold

I bought pretty cheap and only want to get back what I paid. It’s currently pending sale, but I’ll pm you if it falls through.

It’s sold. When I bought it, there was someone else interested too. I offered it to him first, and he bought it.

So, couple questions, since I’m a noob.

On the 3rd gens, how do you mount morale patches to your headliner? *basic bitch question*

Does anyone have the Mobtown bed storage locking doors? What’s your opinion?

Currently I have ratchet straps, a hooked tow rope, jumper cables, and flashlights in the truck behind the rear seats. Do any of y’all have suggestions for more or other stuff to carry? I’m new to having a truck as a daily driver.

@hoarder23 mentioned that most decent patches come with velcro; if not, grab some from a hobby shop or Walmart. Support local, if you can

Everything I’ve heard about @Mobtown Offroad is great and I’ve got their sliders on my list. A temporary fix can be found here.

Check the 3rd gen stickies (forums > 3rd gen) for all kinds of great info. Your rig is just that: yours. You can mod based on your needs and as your need evolves, so does your modding.

I’m in the same boat. I’m new to a truck, new to modding, and new to Shay calling me a turd. That’s normal.

Tacomas are very capable. I recommend reading your owner’s manual and familiarizing yourself with the rig. Oil changes, tire rotations, spark plug replacements, etc. go a long way.

Best way to put patches up is by having the hook side of Velcro on the back. Place on headliner with solid pressure and a slight twisting motion. 3rd gen headliners aren't great at holding patches and they may fall off.

Motown products are great. I'm running there sliders and full skids. I don't have the locking buns but I know @Silverspool is running them and likes them from what I remember.

For DD gear you may want a battery jumper so if no ones around you can jump yourself. Possibly some sort of reflective triangle you can put up incase you are on the side of the road to show you better(I don't have anything liked this but most roadside emergency kits include them). A headlamp might be useful so you have light and 2 free hands for any with you need to do.

I have the same stuff as you, but also keep some basic tools like a socket set, screwdriver with +&- tips, vise grips and small hammer. I also have a reflective vest, gloves, small air compressor, first aid kit and an emergency roll of toilet paper.

Well damn... I had nothing going on on Christmas Eve but I try not to get the forums during holiday. This would have been awesome though!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas, ate a lot, got some good truck parts or camping gear, and enjoyed their time with family!
