    We can use ZMax on anything that isn't constantly re-wetted ( ie decks , exposed stuff ) , anything in the weather needs stainless .

    This is not BC building code , but is a requirement of the area I live in .

    After the pressure treated lumber formulation changed from CCA to ACQ , our building inspection department found two decks that the ZMax joist hangers had completely disintegrated from the continuous re-wetting by rain which was fuelling the reaction between the ACQ lumber and the hangers .

    You can also isolate the hardware from the lumber with peel and stick

    We use stainless nails for all our exterior finishes , siding , soffits etc .
