    Are missing the point?

OP should just lawyer up, go in into the dealership demanding to see the owner - on video of course. Could have something to watch on a Friday afternoon.

She also made a lot of excuses and gave up without trying. Hence why I’m now happily single again.

Happy Friday Gentlemen. I’ll take my seat and patiently wait for OP to report back from the dealer. Maybe they’ll let him exchange it for a Pro for causing him so much anguish.

In 2006 I ordered a sport 4X4 with some options. It had a vibration that would not go away. 40mph up to 80. A few trips to the dealer, IMO, it would get parked, then get a call, come and get it, we fixed it. I did put brand new LTX/MS Michelins on it, no change.
Get to the dealer, fixed they say, not so. Twice a tech went with me, both said, there is nothing wrong. Usual story.

Dealer said, we will exchange it for you, since I purchased other Toyotas there. I checked off a few options on another, took about 5 weeks. They called, come on down, the owner wants to talk to you first.

Go in his fancy office, he says, "we are not going to do this trade". I can go on and on here about our conversation, I was dead in the water. It didn't happen. Dealer lie ? Yes. I sold the 2006 for $1100.00 less then I paid for it, had it 7 months. Do the lemon law ?
Bull crap, I did it in Virginia on a new truck, got nowhere.

It has not stopped me from staying with the brand. I just moved on.
I believe that once you take delivery, and drive away, you are old news. Complain all we want, after the third or fourth visit to the dealer, you drive up, couple service guys can be there and they say, "Here comes that guy again, you take him this time".

I had a friend in LA that bought his first brand new car ever in 2004. It was a 1st gen Tacoma single cab 2wd. You couldn't wipe the smile off his face for weeks. The smile eventually went away because of a "dash rattle" that probably came standard on those trucks. He took it to the dealer monthly trying to get them to diagnose the problem, and I am sure they were rolling their eyes at him and doing the same thing of parking it until he came back for it.

He took it in enough that the dealer suggested they take it back on the lemon law because I think they were done dealing with him. His smile came back when he showed up at work in his brand new Honda Element.:notsure:
