did my clutch go out??

    K&N FIPK, Billy 5100 all around, 881's in the front, Toytec AAL
    So lately I've been noticing that everytime I shift gears and press the gas pedal the engine revs considerably. Especially when its in 5th gear and I'm on the freeway. Well today I was on the freeway and all of a sudden at like 65mph I would press the gas and it would redline and the speed started to Decrease :( eventually the speed decreased to zero... And now I'm waiting on a tow truck. Now I don't even have to press the clutch to put it in any gear. The trucks on and doesn't stall in any gear and won't budge. Is a new clutch in store for me? This sucks btw

    By allowing it to slip that bad you may need a new flywheel also, they don't like heat treating from friction or spinning on disc rivets.

    Hopefully it's not too bad an they can clean it up but don't be surprised if they tear it down and a new flywheel is on the estimate

    So the mechanic told me 550 for everything and will have my truck ready by tomorrow. Everything meanong new clutch and labor...does that sound about right??

    that price sounds about right
    i did mine my self in my high school auto shop about 2 years ago the truck listed for 6k but the dealer sold it to me for 3k cause the clutch was so far gone i had to use L4 and a running start just to get it on the trailor i was using to pull it home
