    Why would my 12 dclb just stall while rolling and wont start again? I checked all of my fuses and nothing blown, it turns over like a champ so its not battery or starter related. Weird thing is now my slip indicator light is on and vsc lights are not. I cant toggle or hold down the button and make anything change. I thought it has to be the fuel pump then because when I turn the key I dont hear it. But why would that set off the slip indicator light? I haven't found any other threads about why the slip indicator light would be stuck on but trac off and auto lsd both not lit nor able to turn on. I had an obd bluetooth adapter to paired to my phone and it wont communicate with the ecu. Any thoughts?

    Limp mode..... a enhancement feature that started that year.

    Do a search for limp mode on here and you'll find tons of threads about it. Something about air injection problems. Thankfully I have a 2010!!!

    Not limp mode. Limp mode allows you to drive sub 30mph, low RPMs. I've been in it. OPs truck is not starting

    My truck did the same thing a few weeks ago, ended up being a loss connection at the MAF sensor.

    Ya I was up till after 1 am trying to figure it out so I wrote it pretty late. I will check out the maf this morning. If its that easy I'm going to dance a jig. Already had the secondary air injection issue. That limp mode sucks btw. Replaced the valves and put a uni breather on the pump a couple of months back. Fuses are good in both the cab and under the hood. Damnedest thing is I cant check for codes since the reader wont connect with the ecu after it died.

    Almost made it too, was about 300 yards from home. But I live at the top of a pretty steep hill so I called a buddy nearby to pull me up the rest of the way. Couldn't justify using a AAA tow when I could see my house.

    Negative on the cel, turns on when with key turn then off after a couple of seconds. Even tried my spare key thinking it could be the immobilizer, no luck. Will try to get another reader on it but don't know why it was working before and not now.

    Still nothing, after checking several diffrent things I was convinced it was the fuel pump. So ordered one and had next day shipped. I put it in which was easy except you need to have a sst (specialty service tool) in order to get the damn retaining ring off. I made one out of some metal I had just to get by. No luck. A buddy of mine called a tech who said he is worried it might be the ecu or ecm...basically the brain of the truck. Told me to look inside the passenger kick panel and see if anything is unplugged or a broken wire, ect.
    This has got me stumped and stuck with two pumps. More than likely the first one wasn't bad. Checked the relays and of course the fuses, again. I have been looking over the driverside kick panel this whole time so why not, lets see what mess is inside the other one.

    Check the immobilized light when you stick the key in the ignition, you want it to turn off completely not blink a 22. Sense you know how to get to the fuel pump, check power and ground, could be efi circuit, i.e. Relay. Or just try swapping relay with another. To check maf you can also unplug the maf and try cranking. You said check light comes on when you turn it on? I'm at work now so message me, I can pull up 'tis and we can go from there

    Already tried swapping the relays, all three. The cel only goes on when turning key to on like all them do, then after a few seconds goes off with the rest. Except the slip indicator which stays on permanently now. Code reader wont connect to the truck. Tried four different ones and none will link.

    So I finally gave in and sent it to the shop. They are friends of mine so hopefully I won't lose too much of my rear getting it fixed. My buddy said the ecm wasn't working and he was messing with it and found that if he left the 60 pin harness unconnected it would start and idle but die the second he connected it. That means there is a short somewhere but he has to basically trace it wire by wire...looks like I will be riding my crf to work for a while. Not real happy.
    I do however want to say that Tacotruck422 is the man and if it wasn't for his help, I wouldn't have got half as far as I did. Good looking out man and if you are not a toyota tech, you should be. Or maybe you just stayed at a holiday inn last night. Haha, you da man and hats off to you for all the help.
