I use only oem fluids. My rear was done at 35k when I bought the truck, did it at 68 and it was pretty dirty. My T case is clean as new which I had done at 35k too, so I didn't change it. My front was not too bad so I left it and will be doing it relatively soon. Could only handle so much of that smell lol.

Just make sure you use the t case weight in the t case and not the diff fluid. It is different. Me personally, 30-40k intervals. Depends how you drive it though too.

Yeah, but worth it in my experience. I made the mistake of putting 75/90 in there and no good for winter.

Duly noted. I don’t get to use 4wd as much as I like so that one will wait but I’m gonna do the rear diff at 10,000

After reading a few dozen of his excellent posts, I just do whatever @Pablo8 recommends. Because he knows stuff.

Of course I have yet to get started on mine. Partly because my truck goes 10 miles a week and partly because I need to put it in the garage to have it level and that’s a bit of a challenge since my wife took it for her office.

I did my diffs at about 18k miles. The rear looked like new, the front was pitch black with tiny metal shavings in the fluid. Used MT90 for the diffs.

Also did my tranny, the fluid looked brand new but i wanted to drain and fill with MT90 fluid. Shifts even better now.

Flashing lights and no shift until the exhaust warmed up the T-Case. Never had any problem, even in colder temps, since I figured out my mistake and went back to LF Fluid.

I learn everything the hard way.

Redline has the transfer case oil now. https://www.redlineoil.com/mt-lv-70w75w

And I also did them at 30k, half out of boredom of having my first new vehicle that wasn't a rolling restoration/project.

I just did mine on Friday. The rear and T-Case was clean and clear. Front diff was complete opposite.

    I used Ravenol 75W-85 and 75W for T-Case.

I ordered a Kit from Blauparts and it was at my door in 2 days.

All opinions varied on what’s best, I saw a few members say they have used it and it works great. Which you will hear with all the different brands. Do research and choose what you feel is best.
