Hai. So I plan on buying a tacoma with the trd offroad package 4x4..but I am so confused with the sr5 and the prerunner stuff..some models I have seen with the trd offroad have the prerunner on it as well? Is it better with the prerunner or no?
and I also plan to get stick shift.
I will check back in the morning after I get stoned!

This site should answer some of your questions. If not use the search feature on the site, as this question gets asked a lot. Best of luck finding a truck.

But ya a prerunner is pretty much just a 4x2 with the suspension of a 4x4 Tacoma...

    Ok im back.... whew

So basically a Prerunner is a beefed up 2x4 that has a 6 lug design like the 4x4's. It sits up higher than the basic 2x4 and with certain options can be E-locked blah blah.

Sr5 4x4's dont have some of the nicer options as the TRD, E-locker, bilstien shocks and TRD skid plate.

If your looking for a TRD offroad 4x4 just make sure it has the E-locker button and a front diff and you should be set. Someone please correct me if im wrong

There are 2 TRD packages, a TRD Off Road and a TRD Sport. They have different features. The Sport doesn't have the locker, only the off road does.
