    Greetings All,

I am new to the forum, and am the proud owner of a 2009 Regular Cab Base Five Lug 4-cylinder that I want to lower slightly without having to c-notch the frame.

I read on this forum about X-Runner's of this generation being lowered by an inch from the factory and was wondering if that was done via the shocks, and if installing those Bilstein shocks with my factory springs on my regular cab would lower it down, or if there was another way the lower stance was accomplished.

Also, if anyone has any other ideas on doing a 1-2 drop on it, I would be greatly appreciative for some input!

X-Runner has different shocks and springs. The springs would be responsible for the difference in ride height.

That said, the X-Runner is also heavier, so I would expect a 2.7L with X-Runner suspension to sit a bit higher than an X-Runner.

The X-Runner sits 32 mm lower than the 2.7L 5-lug.
