The harness I listed above (try Amazon or one of the online places like sonicelectronix) will hook an aftermarket deck into the rest of the JBL system. Or so it claims, while I have a JBL system in a 4-Runner, never tried to swap out the head-unit yet.

You will need the Premium Sound adapter. Scosche makes one, roughly 50 or 70 bucks I forget. It will convert your analog outputs of your deck to the digital inputs that the factory amplifier requires.

If you want aftermarket subs, you wont need anything special if you have aftermarket head unit.

I will look through my boxes, I have an adapter I'll sell you if you're interested. The trouble is going to be finding it. I recently ripped out all my JBL stuff...
