The other nice thing about the Diode Dynamics is if you want to change the beam pattern it's easily swapped, and it's not a lense, the whole face is removable and put a different one on

I'm not sure if Diode Dynamics does on their site but I think @memario1214 does on his site

Does that include changing from white to yellow lens? And can you do this from the front, without removing the foglight assembly?

www.hotshotoffroad.com MAY have something for the week of bf :D

So... Lenses can be changed on the SS3s, but there is a big * here. The yellow and white versions of the lights in pro and sport power levels come with different color LEDs (all Max power SS3s have 6000k LEDs). So if you just swap lenses you're going to get varying results:

Start with White Light (6000k LED):
Swap with different pattern clear lens - Maintain the 6000k output color
Swap in a yellow lens - Produces a "lime green" color. I can't really put a Kelvin color temp on it, but it's definitely not an ideal output. The only way to possibly get the proper output would be to use the darker yellow lens that DD puts on the Max version of the lights. They don't even list it, but they may sell you them. You'll be dealing with reduced output though.

Start with Yellow Light (4000k LED):
Swap with a clear lens - Produces a 4000k output color. I call it a "buttery" white and I really like the color.
Swap in a different yellow lens - Maintains the 3000k color temperature

Also, you cannot make the swap from the front. If you have lights installed in the fog pockets you'll need to remove the assembly to change lenses.

I've read on another threads the Sports don't run hot enough to melt snow and ice.

Confirmed. If snow/ice is a concern definitely go at least pro!

I’ve been going back and forth between Baja and DD. Think I’ve decided I’m going with DD SS3 Pros in amber once the BF sale drops.

If you want a true fog light it’s a great choice.

I have the SS3 Sports on my Tacoma. They are plenty bright for my night time driving. I may upgrade to Pros soon though.
First pic is fogs only, second pics is fogs and headlights. Not much difference! lol

Rexing front and rear dash camera, some LEDs, Weathertech HP floor liners/vent shades/bug deflector/underseat storage bin, OEM Ford bed mat, Diode Dynamics SS3 Pros in selective yellow, Diode Dynamics 18" light bar in amber and universal Carhartt seat covers. Bak Revolver X4S tonneau cover. Android Auto USB plug upgrade! H11 to H9. Sound deadened/insulated floors and rear wall. VLED license plate reverse light. Yokohama GO15s. Rokblokz mud flaps. Flowmaster Super 50 Series with stock resonator.
Hopefully this helps a little. Here are some pics of pros (not the best of pics). I would definitely go with pros if snow is an issue. To me even if the sports could in some cases melt snow I would rather have the peace of mind and get the pros. If this helps my father's F350, my moms Subaru Ascent, and my Tacoma all have yellow pros (father has clear lenses on now) and WE ALL LOVE THEM. Once they saw the output they asked me if they offered them for there cars. I would get the yellows so if you ever wanted to change from white to yellow or vice versa you get a nice white color and a nice yellow color and not the greenish hue that you get with an original white unit and a yellow lens. Even the green hue isn't bad looking but it's not the crisp yellow. I love the light output when going down country backroads late at night and I never get flashed.

Been trying to find the answer to this, but does this apply to the light bar as well? If I have the white light bar and want to switch the outer lenses to yellow will it create this greenish color, or will it be similar to my ss3 yellow sports?

To me this seems entirely counterproductive as that is a LOT of foreground light with very little throw.

Maybe it’s foggy a lot but for clear days this has to be working against you not for you.

All stage series light bars use a 6000k emitter. The yellow lenses use a darker lens (similar to the SS3 max) to change the light to the right color temp. Lime won't be an issue on the light bars.
