They should put some harmless dye in the oil for us that don't have 20-20 vision.

Get some lipstick on your dipstick. That will help you to see it better.

This guy is a piece of work. Earlier in the day he was spouting off to a statement that is as plain to understand that 1st grader could understand. Then he spouts off on this thread, "Dipsticks ain't rocket science." I hurt his widdle feelings so he sent me the below message. LOL!

I don’t know why guys even bother with the dipstick. I just open the oil cap and if I don’t see oil to the top of the filler neck, I dump a few quarts in. Too easy.

This is actually in the manual i believe. Once I pull out and wipe, stick it in- just the tip (let it just flop), Wait 5ish minutes and then fully insert and pull out there’s no problem getting a reading.

I get exactly what you mean about the dipstick. This is the only vehicle I had where its literally almost impossible to accurately read the dipstick. When I do oil changes I dont even both reading the dipstick after it's useless, I just put 5.5 quarts and go

Im not trying to be a dick but is this really that difficult that it warrants a thread? Pull that shit out and hold it horizontally so the oil doesn't drip off. Look at it at an angle in a well lit area and you can see where the level is. Don't take 5 mins doing this such that the oil runs off. Looking at your picture your engine is slightly overfilled. It's not overfilled to the point you need to worry about it.

It's a known issue. I taped off the low and high marks and sanded both sides between the marks with emery cloth. No problems now.
