Pull the stick out, let the oil in the tube drain for 5 min, reinsert the dipstick and check again. Look at the stick from an angle and you'll be able to see the oil. Or you can take the stick and lay it flat on a piece of paper and check the level that way.

Rubber band a piece of paper towel around the end of the dip stick. Problem solved.

I hear the Honda Ridgeline dipstick is a perfect fit for your usage.

4th Gen will have a glass engine block so the mechanically challenged can see the oil level in Fluid ounces

I haven't read through all four pages, so not sure if someone else has said it... remove and clean the dipstic, wait about 10 minutes, THEN INSERT the dipstick for a better reading. I had the same issue as you and this worked for me. I also remove the oil filler cap while waiting.

The idea is that you're venting the oil system to atmosphere allowing for better free movement of oil.

I was struggling with this for days...I think the key is "I also remove the oil filler cap while waiting." After waiting 10 minutes without the filler cap, the dipstick was easy to read and the reading was the same on both sides of the dipstick....I've had over 10 vehicles in my lifetime and this is the first time I needed to wait 10 minutes and remove the filler cap....My truck is a 2020 Tacoma.
