Can these be purchased in black? Maybe black would be worthy of the TRD badge!

Not from apple but I’m sure a similar solution could be fashioned out of a black silicone ear fitment from somewhere else.

Dust behind the cluster is supremely annoying to me. I thought you guys would be more excited about this. Guess I’m butt hurt (awww poor baby). Anyway, I’m super jazzed about never having dust enter my brand new instrument cluster. Now I just need to reorder the protech screen protector and not fuck it up this time.

I tried a few different options and haven't found anything to fit and work would be awesome if someone could 3d print something think to slide in the hole and cover the outside

I got inspired by your ear phone tip creation. It just so happens as a head-fi enthusiast, i have a bunch of extra tips sitting around from various cans through the years. I found one that looks discrete, seals well and doesn't stand out when looking.

And this is how we foster innovation in TW—instead of taking a dump on someone’s innovation, acknowledge the progress and make a further improvement. Well done sir.

Not quite as clean as the black eartip method. But, 3/8" shrink wrap tubing seems to do the trick, too.

Jammed it over the odometer stick, using an empty ballpoint pen casing.

Nice now that looks good like tacorancher said his idea and you improved it. I tried so many different sized grommets and a headphone tip is what fits better than everything i tried amazing. Guess its on to Amazon to get an assortment pack

I didn't even know it was a problem before I saw this thread.

My OCD couldn't handle the crumpled tubing look. So, did it again...few drops of WD-40 into a new piece of cut shrink wrap tubing, used fingers only to jam it over the stick, and voila.

Now, I can sleep peacefully tonight.

My cluster lens is cracked and getting dirt behind it. Of course it's way out of warranty since it's a 17. But anyone else have stress cracks on the lense of the instrument cluster?? I wonder if it's replaceable?

I bought it a few months ago and it was cracked, but I think the cracks (3) are growing. They all come up from the boot of the I/C around the steering column area. I would defiantly appreciate any help with this.

Apparently it was 5 years ago. I don't know about now.

Edit: That's 30 bucks for the lens.

Thanks guys, looks super easy compared to what I work on (Mercedes Benz) . I'll go check on the price at my local dealer and update the thread if cost went sky high.
