    Hello All,

I have be lurking for awhile.

I have a 2017 TRD Sport MT Access Cab. I bought it in Feb. I have almost 7k miles. I love it.

I have the OEM tonneau cover. I bought the CCR bed buddy. I haven't put it in yet because I dont want to mess up drilling my bed (a little scared/dont have the tools to do it) Toyota said they would not install because" I dont want to be our problem" - Toyota tech dude (understandable)

    1. Has anyone installed it on a 3rd gen?
    2. Will the cover not work with that rack?
    3. Is is possible to use existing holes?
    4. Where would one get help with this?

    Thanks!

Why would you need a bed buddy. Just use the hooks that are on the corners of the bed. Works fine with one or two bikes. Here's a pic with my regular bike and my pit bike. I typcally load two full size dirtbikes. IMG_0306 (1).jpg

When I installed my homemade moto bar I drilled to match the existing bolt holes from the center rail.

Yes you can do that but with the middle tie down it also helps with the street bikes I transport as well. And in general it is nice to have that middle tie down instead of going across the bike.

@mattgecko that looks good. If I can get my rack drilled, that might also work for me.

Get the new CCR rack http://ccrsport.com/protrack-motorcycle-transport-kit-mid-size/

installed on my taco using existing bolt holes on stock bed piece. just need longer bolts and a shim.. I had the shim made at a plastic place for 4$.

This is from another thread :To make it fit factory, add a 57" piece of 1.25" x .25" under it and replace the stock Toyota torx screws with 6 x 40mm stainless buttonhead allens. Even the tie downs are trick.

so the plastic piece you want made is 57" piece of 1.25" x .25 ill post a couple pictures.

That would work but I have the older style one I bought it like 4 months ago. I didn't know they made a new style.
Do you think it will still work?

@moderman, did you have to offset the holes (from the center scribe) you drilled through the protrack?
