The timing of this is perfect. Going to be installing your full kit on my 03' 4Runner this summer when I get some time. Didn't realize the bump horns get completely removed to install the cans. Learning shit already. Thank You DK!

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
Any plans on running a ball joint or variation of one in your LT LCA's soon?

@Dirt King Fab I just installed this kit on my second gen, and it’s amazing. Super stoked to run this. The first few days the kit did amazing. Last weekend I did a trip up to big bear and now the front end (I beleive the bushings in the LCA) literally squeak and creak SO loud.

do you guys have a fox for this? Originally when installed this wasn’t an issue. Now, it sounds Absolutely horrible especially for a brand new front end.

Other than that, I’m beyond stoked! This kit handles insanely good.

    @BlessdApparel1

Step 1: Check torque on all bolts.

Step 2: Did you grease all the bushings / what grease did you use / how did you grease them? Improperly greased poly will squeak a ton especially if sand gets up in the mating surfaces.

Thank you both for the responses.
They are torqued to spec. I had greased them prior to install and put a few 100 miles on them and they were silent.

after a trip wheeling in the mud and snow, they are now loud as fuck.

Im gonna stop by @Dirt King Fab and pick up some more grease and see if i can resolve my problem.

Hey Matt, while the poly and delrin bushings are a great performance option they can make some noise in less than ideal weather conditions (snow, mud, rain etc) the best option would be to come by and grab a tube of Prothane Super grease (we have in stock SKU 19-1751) and grease all the pivots. For optimal results we recommend to jack up the truck and loosen the control arm pivots, put 2-3 pumps of grease into each pivot and retorque each pivot bolt, then wipe off excess grease. A common mistake is overgreasing with either the wrong grease or doing it with the hardware still tight, this will cause the bushing to swell and become damaged. If you have any questions anyone in our sales team can assist you while you are here

@Dirt King Fab 03' 4Runner mock up- made a cardboard template that is the same diameter and length of the hydro can at full bump.

So far this position looks centered on the pad, clears the bypass, keeps the UCA an inch off the inner fender well, and leaves about a 1/2" of shaft left on the shocks.

Gotta get my diff installed and cycle the CV to make sure that clears. Learning as I go, so if anyone sees a problem lmk.

Looks good so far, you can bump it further than that as well to where the shock body is touching the rubber shaft bump, that will give you plenty of shaft left. Also I recommend cutting off the smaller rib at the base of the strut mount it will make it much easier to weld your bump stop mounts

I guess the red arrow is what your talking about? That probably would make it easier to get the gun in there.

Also, make sure you check at full droop for bypass clearance. That's the critical clearance point.

Thank you! I had looked at it initially a couple days ago, but I made some changes to the template at full bump, and forgot about that part. SMDH

I agree! When we did bumps for my JD kit, I had more clearance issues at droop. The bypass starts to swing inboard when the lower armdroops out.
