Wasn't too sure at first about that color but its turning out nice, curious how many years you need on a 48" roll and are you using cast or calendared? Ive been reading both sides for what to use when wrapping but most people that say cast are wrapping for business purposes with text

 

Lol it looked good to me on the swatch and on the roll but yhen when we started to wrap the door. I was A "negative". The more we wrap the more I like it. I want to have a custom color but not a loud one. I bought 60"x25 yards. To answer your question. Yes I'm the very beginning this was intended for commercial use.

 

So cast vinyl I take it?

 

I'm not sure it was already on when I bought it. Im assuming buckshot fabrication? I'll have to ask RJ the next time I talk to him

 

If I remember correctly from RJ's build thread Buckshot was him and his dad or some such.

Will the wrap hold up to being sandblasted and the rocks from being off road?

 

That wrap looks amazing. Makes me think of doing a wrap to my little regular cab.

Really depends on the brand of the material, the installers and if your Robby Gordon or BJ Baldwin or not. The wrap will hold but will are like anything else in the dezert. My last truck was wrapped and I beat that Arlon material to death out there. It's pretty tough. This time I'm going 3M so we'll see.

I know nothing about wraps. Can you breakdown what is the best, mediocre, and low quality wrap material. I wouldn't do this myself and would have a shop do it. Quality materials are everything and I have no context of what is quality.

 

Well there are so many factors so I'll do a quick break it down in quality and this is my opinion.

Worst - Any no name China material.
Entry - oracal
Entry - KPMF
Good - Avery
Good - 3M
Better - Arlon
Better - Hexis
