    Hello,

I'm new to Tacoma World but not to owning a Tacoma. I have a 2010 prerunner double cab that I upgraded the tires on. My new tires are bigger and I decided to add pressure to 35 psi. My pressure gauge is of course giving me problems. I have tried to reset it with no luck and yes, the spare is at the correct psi. Anyone know a way to disconnect the sensors or turn off the gauge? Thanks!

About the only thing you can do is replace the TPMS with regular stems and put them in a "pipe bomb". Build an ABS tube with a glued cap on one end and a threaded cap or plug (use teflon tape and sealant) in a coupler on the other. Put a valve stem on either end, insert TPMS, and pressurize.

This is suppose to be the directions for the reset. If all steps aren't perfect it wont work.

    1. Park the vehicle in a safe place and turn the ignition switch to the “LOCK” position.

    2. Adjust the pressure of all installed tires to the specified cold tire inflation pressure level.

    3. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position.

    4. Push and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the tire pressure warning light blinks slowly three times.

    5. Leave the system with the ignition switch in “ON” position for a few minutes, and then turn the ignition key to the “LOCK” position.

    No.

You can fool it, but it can't be removed.

Removing the indicator LED from the instrument panel and not running sensors is about the closest thing, without cutting wires.

Is a piece of plastic and you just store it under or behind the back seat

Just zip-tie or band clamp it somewhere under the truck or in the engine bay and forget about it.

All your original senors in place? Then bigger tires have nothing to do with it.

Im not sure about more pressure as i dont know exactly what it is looking for. If you set the pressures at the sticker setting, does the light go off? If not, pressure may not be the issue.

And bigger tires dont mean more pressure is required. Do a chalk test and see what actually works.
