Just bought 2 Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70-17 6ply tires on ebay, they are offering $100 off any purchase over $400. Play the game right and buy 2 tires at a time, and get $200 off. No taxes, or stupid state fees...2 brand new tires shipped to my door for $396...$198 per tire, not bad deal if you ask me.....Gonna wait a day and order my other 2, then the set of wheels to put the package together, will have saved $300 on the package which would have cost me $1500 retail

Did you price it out compared to a package deal? It worked out cheaper for me to do that and get them shipped mounted and balanced. UPS wasn't thrilled when they arrived, but it was nice to bolt them right up.

It was def cheaper this way...I have access to mount them myself, Louisiana hits you with environmental fees, and waste fees equaling $12 per tire and taxes. So this route save me BIG$$$
    About to order wheels also.

How old or what is the manufacture date on the tires? Brand new but 3 years old?

Tires are fine for roughly 10 yrs after the manufacture date. Especially newer tires that haven't been mounted or exposed to the elements.

Per Michelin. Tires are good for 6 years from Mnfgr. Each year they get harder and begin to deteriorate inside. On a high performance vehicle like a corvette, ferrari, porsche the rule of thumb is 5 years and out unless you always drive like grandma then stretch to 6 yrs.

They recommend not installing tires not more than 6 years old
