Discount tire direct question!

I saw looking ahead for time for the tires and rims I want for when I get a tacoma and I was looking level 8 guardians with 265/75/16 duratracs but it won't let me select the option for them to come mounted and balanced.

When placing the order on-line, we automatically mount and balance the assemblies unless you note otherwise in the comments field. As I'm sure you have read already, we mount and balance all wheel and tire packages for FREE.

 

Not exactly on topic but the OPs question raised this question for me.... If I ordered wheels and tires from discounttiredirect.com, will local discount tire stores rotate/rebalance for free still?

Yes, but local charges will apply. If you have a Discount Tire store in your area it usually pays off to buy directly through your local store. In-store purchases come with some added services that are not included with online purchases and the convenience of installation at your local store is great too.

 

I looked at this combination and it seems to me that the 16"Duratracs in that size needed to be mounted on wheels 7-8" wide and the level 8 Guardians are 8 1/2. Let me know if you have success with this combination.

 

Within the standards set by the TRA, tire size 265/75-16 can be safely mounted on an 8.5" wide wheel.

 

Ok, good to know. GoodYear's website just lists the approved rim width at 7-8".
