Discount Tire Experience

I just wanted to say that my online tire buying experience with Discount tire was fantastic. I was looking to purchase Yokohama Geolandar G015's in 255/75/17. Everywhere I looked they averaged around $220ish. Walmart had them listed for $185. I did the price match at Discount and they honored that price with free shipping as well. I also got the 5% military on top of that as well. I ordered them Tuesday at 10 in the morning and they showed up on Wednesday at noon!!
Now I just have to get my rims powder coated and my lift installed. I'm putting them on FJ steelies powder coated white with black lug nuts. My truck is a white SR utility with black flares that I put on.

 

We have three vehicles in the family and I bring them all to Discount Tire. Never had a bad experience. At my local store, I go online and make an appointment for a pressure check and rotation, show up, and they attack the truck like a pit crew. In and out 20 minutes tops.

 

Excellent service...3 sets of tires, 3 vehicles, over a period of 2+ years.....always the same...tires show up fast, make an appointment, work gets done on time...2 thumbs up

 

Every time my son comes home to visit I always check his car, including the tires. Found a valve stem cap cross-threaded, and the other side of the car both tires were a few pounds low of pressure and his rim mark (indicating a rotation) was not where it should have been (compared to the other side). Bottom line....his last tire rotation at Tire Kingdom was only half done. And I told him...next time you look before the work is done...and you look afterwards before you leave.

 

Discount Tire is the same as Americas tire right? They have excellent customer service. I mean they customer service should be written about in text books like Nordstrom, In-n-out or Chick-fil la.

I was running a business last year, and I modelled my customer service to be like Discount Tire.

 

In before someone bad mouths discount, I agree. Had a very pleasant experience with them after getting the shaft and runaround trying to order and install tires through Walmart - even to the point of having to call their Corporate to get my refund figured out 2 weeks after it was supposed to get back into my account. Will likely go through them again.

 

You can tell that they train their teams to have a customer service focus. The GM at the one I go to is REALLY good with service. They are not really any cheaper than other places though as their name says. Maybe they once were but they aren’t out of line in my searches either. Service is HUGE in my book though and will use them. They have free balancing too and I use that as much as I need.

 

Nothing but good things to say about Discount Tire.

 

I’ve been bringing all of our cars to Discount for over 10 years. Nothing but positive experiences with them. Another plus is that they’re a national chain. Knowing that I will find one if needed when doing cross country doing road trips is a nice peace of mind.

my local Discount Asst Manager Jorge in Tucson was discussing tires with my when I was in for a re-balance and he asked how I liked my Cooper ST Maxx. In convo I mentioned wanting to try the Kenda RTs but that I havent pulled the trigger because I want to continue buying tires through Discount so I can purchase Certs. He said he'd look into special ordering the Kendas for me. after a few phone calls, he had me a price for 35x10.5r17 Kenda RTs that were better than any internet price I could find.

2 days later I had 2 Coopers to Cert out and I pulled the trigger on the Kendas and apply the 2 certs toward them.

 

I have been buying tires for years from them , I had one bad experience with them which they corrected fast and friendly I will
keep buying them . I can't say enough about their great customer service so I would highly recommend them.

 

Bought my tires at Discount Tire in Salem, OR. Had a great experience, and a good chat with one of the techs while I waited.

Will definitely be a return customer in the future

Another life long customer here, after DTD went above and beyond for me years ago. Ordered about 3 sets of tires from them so far, and so happy that they finally put a store in my state semi close to my area. Any company can sell products; not every company can sell customer service. They've got my business for life for sure, especially after I had a run in with some manufacturer defects, and DTD handled it with professionalism and care, like they were dealing with their own personal vehicle.

love discount tire but they have broken 3 of the studs on 3 different wheels. Apparently they dont fix these in house so now I have to drive an hour each way to have grease monkey do it, which will probably cost me half a day of waiting around
