    Cheap but involves getting under truck more than once alone with jacks and trying to re position rear axle alone. Which is all doable don't get me wrong but if I can do it once id prefer that. I hate paying someone else to work on my truck unless it's out of my league. But things like this I try to save a couple hundred in labor and do myself.

    After seeing pics of your truck I would say your splitting **** hairs unless of course your looking for what is referred here as a bro lean. Truck looks good as is and as others mentioned if your really looking to get it done cheap just swap the 3" block for a 2". Yes, you will have to get under the truck and do it but it's not like hiding weight is going to be a simple task. You also mentioned having to save money due to a kid coming. I am there and know what you mean but adding weight to the truck is also going to negatively effect your mpg in the long run so why not just suck it up and go with the smaller block. It will probably take you 2 hours tops and your done and it will be done correctly rather than have a bunch of bags in your bed sliding around.
    Personally I think your truck look good as is and suggest just going down the block and grabbing a 6 pack. Put six pack in fridge when you get home and proceed to wash your truck. When done washing grab said six pack and a lawn chair and just sit and stare at your truck because she's a beaut.

    Thanks man. Yea kids already here. So saving has started. I appreciate all options expressed gentleman. But I think your right about block just I'll save for leaf pack. Thanks for compliments on truck though gentleman and all the help. I see what everyone means by as much work to hide weight for lower Mpgs compaired to lowering rear with block and cost for block probably aren't far off. Thanks everyone.

    Agreed, Pugga had a good suggestion. That or some patio stones laid end to end so they won't slide around. 1 inch thick and 32" by 24" weighs around 90lbs >< . 2 or 3 of those should drop you an inch or so.

    If weight causes excess wear on the suspension I guess my 200 lb cap from leer should have broke something by now??? 5 years its been on the truck. It is a truck which is meant to carry stuff.
    My work truck has had several hundred pounds in it for 8 years now and nothing has "wore out " yet.
