Does anyone know what the ticket prices are for kids? Do they have to pay the full $20 or is it cheaper/free?

 

Soooooo.....anyone going to this? @Unorgnl-V .....how many of your guys are going or camping?

 

For the guys I'm in contact with there will be 4-5 of us camping there for the weekend. A bunch more that may make it a day trip. There may be more but I'm no longer actively involved with the groups so I don't have a definite number.

 

Sorry......I deleted my FB in January....I thought you were still running the groups. I was thinking about camping but I might just go for the day Saturday just to see what it is going to be like and if it's good, then do the camping experience there next year. It is the first annual event so I have hopes it will be better then it was described in the beginning. The website gets updated a lot more now.

 

Yeah I got rid of my FB for a while so I passed the admin duties to some friends who run the group now. They've been more in touch with the hosts of the events as far as courses and what not goes so they'd have more info, but they're not on TW. I keep in touch with them so they keep me informed.

I hope the event is a good time as well for the first year and that it grows each year.

 

I've had "Mytaco" (if I go and you see that plate its me, say hi) for about a year, my brother in law saw it up in the Whites and got one a couple weeks later. We might go and check it out, probably just for the saturday.

I go to camping this weekend in VT, ATL next weekend then maybe the event then the weekend after I go camping up at the Whites. So might take a rest weekend instead. Definitely looks more promising than before though

 

One week out, who's camping or coming by for the day?

 

If I am better from this monstrosity of a cold I received last Friday, I will be there on Saturday.

Just bought my show ticket for me and my rig for Saturday.

 

I will be there Sunday around noon to check it out.

 

Just came home from Saturday......hone, I wish I stayed. Next year I definitely want to camp the whole weekend.

 

How was the show? Was there a decent turn out with the crappy weather?

 

I was only there Saturday but it really was a good time for only being put on for the first year. Rain did make it a little bit of a bummer on Saturday, but it only really rained in the morning up until about 12 noon. I really did want to stay the whole weekend. I really do think that next year it will get bigger and better and I most likely will be staying the weekend and camping.

 

We went for the entire weekend, camping out. It was a good time, and the weather may have deterred a few on Saturday, but Sunday was a decent turnout. Camping was nice, flat, trailer, tent, whatever friendly. Course was good-you could run anything from a stock BMW SUV (which ran it) to fully built rigs (that got stuck). For the inaugural event, I think it went well. The main complaint, at least from those of us who go the immersion package, was the BBQ buffet saturday night. For the price, it was hot dogs and hamburgs. Going forward, maybe next year, they can have an option to choose out of the buffet-or maybe a voucher for one of the food vendors (which was fantastic). Just a thought. Or, do something more than hot dogs and hamburgs for those of us who paid a premium. But, honestly, for the first run of this, we enjoyed it. Still new to the lifestyle, and I did not take my 21 TRD sport on the track-this year.

I ended up having to bail at the last minute but I'm glad to see it was a good turnout. I'm hoping next year no emergencies come up.
