Dissipator AR-15 upper

    I searched this first but found nothing. What is the difference/benefits if any over the standard upper. Just curious doing research while I'm off work.

    Stuff that makes it easier to run over other stuff.
    Dissipator refers to the full "rifle" length handguards and longer sight radius. Most dissipator uppers have carbine length barrels but mid length gas systems, so that could be seen as an advantage also.

    It's really a matter of preference, there isn't a whole lot of difference. If you like having more room on the handguards and rifle-length sight radius, the dissipator is perfect.

    it just looks cool plus i like more grip area which is a big draw back of the carbine for me.

    Debadged, tinted windows, 7 pin relocated, bed lights, 12 volt socket in bed of truck, on board air, auxiliary fuse box, grill craft, hella 500's, t-rex eyelids, pink budbuilt skids, icon remote resi coil over, camburg uca, alcan rear springs, ubolt flip, icon 2.5 remote rear resi shocks
    You can cut down the front sight and use a free float tube with a flip-up sight. Even more extension, plus it looks great.
