Was coming off an freeway off ramp decelerating speed when I was rear ended by a Chevy Cruz going 50+, by the time i had any sort of reaction of relocation of what was going on i was in a ditch on the side of the off ramp. Just waiting for her insurance to total it out. I guess the highlight of this story the DPS officer asked if it still ran and if I could try moving it for the tow truck to pick it up. Baby crawled out of that ditch with pride!! Stay safe out there! Let your loved ones to stay off their phones! its killing people

Glad you walked away from it. Looks like you got hit pretty hard so watch out for injuries that could materialize later on.

Thread title makes it seems like you wrecked it yourself- might want to add “Someone”, “Texter” or “Doubag” to the beginning of the title..

    Good luck finding another Taco!

Get those wheels and tires off hope you have the old stock ones. Hate to see those wheels end up in a junkyard or something. Glad everyone was ok.

Glad everyone involved is safe. That was a nice looking truck and quite impressive that it could pull itself out of the ditch still. I feel like every time i get in my truck anymore, i'm paranoid about people around me and them not paying attention due to cell phones, food, friends, laziness. Best of luck with finding your new Tacoma!

Glad you're ok. Perhaps obvious and not worth saying out loud, but her insurance company will try to screw you with the first offer. Hold off and take your time. Start your research as soon as you can about the TRUE replacement cost of a truck exactly like yours - features, trim, mileage, condition, maintenance, add-ons, etc - NOT what they think your truck's "book" value was at the time of accident. And you will want a couple days to be sure you are OK health wise - probably are, but it takes a day or two for neck / shoulder / back stiffness to appear. Good luck with the process, sometimes the wreck itself is the least painful part; it's the PITA insurance issues afterward that can be painful.
