    This and that...
The hood brackets are great. No trimming, low profile, and under $100.

I had Auxbeams but sent them back to Amazon. The quality seemed fine for the price and well below Rigids. But When trying to install the light bracket to the light, the hex nuts stripped and I couldn't tighten them any further. I recently ordered the Rigid's Spots from the vendor below, they are on sale and already have black hardware. $149 for the pair, free shipping, and wiring harness included. I'll probably be buying the security hardware from Rigid since I went up in price... I'm not too concerned with what will be reflected on the hood. They will not run for extended times for me. Plus, since they are spots and not floods, the reflection may be less. Hope this helps.

Almost went with these, but they haven't updated the design for a 2014-2015.

Here’s how they screw in. The mounts come with 4 self taping screws (2 for each side). However, i recommend pre drilling with a small drill but then filling the hole and around the hole with silicone, then screwing the mount on. This Will make sure that there is no leakage from screwing into the cab.

Outside of, "Hey these work, right?". Not Really. I still need to really aim them and my backyard isn't the ideal place for that, or at least that's what my neighbors say.

Hello all. I came across this thread a few weeks ago when my relentless brackets and lights were already on order. Now that I have them on, and I finally had decent weather and time to get "good" pictures, i want to give a kind of in depth perspective that I haven't really seen when i was doing my research that I can share with others, so this is kind of lengthy....

I ordered and installed Relentless Fabrication hood hinge brackets and a pair of Auxbeam 18w flood pods. I ordered the brackets bare and painted them myself. Props to Relentless... they showed the brackets on back order (was during the holidays), and I received them a little over 2 weeks from ordering them.

Anyway.... the brackets are very stout (3/16" steel). Fitment at the hinge bolts is great and they come pretty tight up to the hood at the edge. I put a section of some small hose on the edge of the hood to buffer the bracket/hood contact. It doesn't bother me at all though. There is plenty of clearance between the lights and the windshield when the hood is open. There is no vibration (other than normal vehicle vibration) in the brackets that i can tell when driving.

I've tried to take several pictures at several angles to give the full perspective:

    20180128_121644.jpg
    20180128_123314.jpg

I am extremely happy with these brackets, and like I said earlier, i wanted to give a better perspective that most people don't get to see while doing research before they purchase :)

Nice work! How are they so far? Anything you would have changed if you made them again?

They are solid, no bounce. Made from 3/16" plate. I've made a few sets for other members, nobody has complained about anything (yet).

It's more like after hours work fab. I've had a lot of fun building random truck stuff.

Seems Cowls are becoming replaced by the ease of the hood installs.. A question I have been wondering about is there any major differences in the height of the bracket and light? As most of the pods are the same dimension I assume there is a limit on clearance so as not to hit the windshield... but does a bit more height over low profile provide less hood glare or any benefit?

Do these block any visability when driving? They seem like they would be in the way.

Not really. It would seem that way, but you basically train your eyes to look past them after a few days of having them mounted.

Sorry for the crappy phone pics, but these are shot from my eye level/point of view for reference.

Also from the looks of those pics, you can actually mount them lower than that. Depending on what brand, you just flip the brackets around and mount them flush.
