Hey y'all I just wired up some ditch lights on my 09 taco and the switch that turns them on or off is always on but when I turn the lights on the letters light up....I wouldn't think that this would be enough to drain my battery because I had a light bar one time and the red light was always on and when it was on the green would come on...I hope I don't sound like an idiot should I worry or no?Snapchat-1307997833.jpg

It would take quite some time to drain a battery. Weeks most likely. However, I would tie the illumination wire of that switch into one of the switches next to it.

If that is a 4 wire switch (ch4x4 or similar) then the colors should go green, red, red, black. You'll be working with the red next to the black.

In any of the factory switch wire harnesses, see if there is a green wire in there. I know green wires are illumination in the 3rd gens and toyota is pretty good about keeping wire colors similar
