Ok, maybe some of you smarter folks can give me a clue. 2019 3rd Gen Taco.

I have a light bar and 2 ditch lights wired up. There is a 40 amp fuse, a relay switch and the end point is a toggle switch. All wired up directly to the battery.

I wired it all together with quick connects and such. I tested it all. Worked great. Then the only other thing I did was pull some of the wiring (the wiring that goes to the toggle) through the firewall. Now, it does not work.

The toggle switch lights up. I can hear the relay "switch" when I turn on the toggle switch. Yet, nothing lights up, none of the 3 (light bar, 2 ditch lights).

I am totally confused because they all worked great. And, the toggle switch lights up.

Electrical is not my thing. So.. if anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Muchas Gracias.

Check the wire that goes to the lamps at the relay. You might've pulled it out from the terminal. Or you have a bad relay.

I figured it out. I was going to follow the wires from the rocker switch back using the MM at each junction. The first one, after I undid the tape around the quick connects, was loose. I taped them up mostly for appearance (the quick connects are neon green) but also so nothing like this would happen, lol. Anyway, it was loose. Muscled it back together and made sure it was very secure and wala! Works.

These quick connects (from Home D) were not that quick and not that easy to work with. Very hard to crimp and did not "connect" all that easily. Next time I think I will just solder the damn connections.

Thanks for the help. Now, I have to find a new switch since the rocker does not fit into the oem slot below the "change cave" on the left side of the steering wheel. The rocker I have is too wide. I think the CH4x4 Push Switch will fit.... "I think"...

I bought the same type - same color, brand, gauge. They did not seem to fit well for me. Maybe 12 gauge ones are just tough no matter what.

Ohhhh, haa. I have a '19. Not many will "claim" to fit for some reason. Caliraised says "2005 - 2017" for Tacoma. Everything I find on AMZ says basically the same. Maybe they just don't update their descriptions.

So, I have to go by the measurements, I suppose.

Whenever I wire, I send the wires through the firewall first then clip and connect them to avoid them loosening or un attaching!

Yes, I am aware of these. There are a lot of places selling different types of these. However, I want to keep that little change cubby hole or whatever it is. That is where I put my wallet. And, I tend to misplaces that a lot. ha
