I'd like to open this up for a general ditch lights discussion, since I've been thinking about installing them recently. I already I have a couple of lightbars but looking for more light on the sides. Do these put out a lot of light? Spots or floods? Do they stick out so much that they block vision while driving? If you have these I want to hear your opinion!

I just ordered the CBI brackets along with the ROUGH COUNTRY BLACK SERIES pods. Im going to install this weekend, but the brackets dont look like they obstruct vision while driving.

I had a set of Osram 3 inch pods and just changed them out to 4 inch KC LZR lights on CBI brackets. They really don't obstruct/interfere at all, and the light output for when you're off roading at night is absolutely worth it

    Yes

    Spots

    No

I have Rigid D2 Spots with the smoked lenses.

    I have Relentless Fabrication mounts.

I installed a Mictuning Factory-style push switch in a blank on my dash.

    I like them very much.

I have mine pointed straight forward right now, because I'm upgrading my electrical system prior to installing the big bar above my windshield. I will angle them to cover any dark spots in my new pattern once I install the big bar.

They completely overtake my stock headlights when I use them, but I only use them off-road; because I am not a dickbag who uses his offroad lights while on a normal road, which as reflectors and shit on it.

I'll post a pic of the view I have from within the cab after I get some sleep.

The light on the side is flood ditch lights pointed out so they shine into the turn before I get there. Very useful for me.

I use spot pattern, Cheapo auxbeam and they throw more light than my headlights on hight beam.
They're not in my line of sight because I chose cbi ditch light brackets, they sit behind windshield pillars.

I've been thinking about getting some to compliment my 23" on my brush guard. Just to get more spread on back roads

love the extra side lighting and not in my way driving at all. SOS makes some brackets too, no cutting of shroud needed.

I run a set of TWF pods on Relentless brackets. Love em, one of the first mods I did to the truck.

Problem with ditch & light bars is how quick they disappear off your truck when you park at places other than your house.

Light bars behind bumpers are a better investment.

How would OP put ditch lights behind his bumper?

It would be super frustrating to get your shit stolen, but that's not the topic of this thread.

I love mine. CBI brackets with Baja Designs Spots. I get comments all the time at the gas pump or fishing hole about them; they work as advertised. No glare but I drive a black 04. I understand there may be a bit more glare on different colors but wanted something that augment the headlights and function if I lost my headlights (offroad hit, malfunction, et). Youll love em

Yes they put out great light, they do not stick out (in fact I think CBI went through a slight redesign) and they sit nicely to the sides.

I used security nuts and bolts for the lights but never had an issue with theft/vandalism. Planning on putting Baja Amber chase lights on my Relentless bar in the bed.

    Stock. For now.
Made my own brackets for all of about 10$ tops. Really help lighting up the corners going into a turn.

I want to try and get them lined up with the pillar as much as possible as these will be pointed out at a good angle. I've noticed there is a lot of placement differences that have been posted so far...

I've been wanting to do a set of these and I always thought a flood beam would be better. Seems like most of you who went spot, how do you like it and why'd you go spot beam over flood beam?
