OKAY so i feel the need to state this:

There are TWO blue/pink stripe wires very close to eachother on the wiring harness in the kick panel. the one you're looking for is the THIN blue/pink striped one that is in the harness that comes from the door and into the cab. Below that is another thicker (probably a 12 gauge wire) that comes from the same loom, but DOES NOT come from the door itself. Just attached to the same loom.

I hope that makes sense.. but you are looking for the thinner of the two blue/pink stripe wires. Make sure and locate both and find the smaller of the two to splice into..

    thats all

No not yet as I don't really care if it beeps when I am in the vehicle and it is running. ( but I know that it could be done fairly easy if someone wanted it to NOT BEEP when the key is powered on.)

The wires shoudl all be under the KICK panel on AC's and passengerside kick on DC's as far as i know. (that is if you can't find them behind the coin tray!

Did this mod today. Fantastic results! I went with the 108db Piezo Buzzer (Siren) from Radio Shack ($10.49). It is a bit louder beep and it gives a siren type sound that reminds me of a high-priced alarm system. Plus, the buzzer seems to be a bit better constructed.

Yes, if you wire it to beep when you lock & unlock the doors. I wired mine to beep when locking the doors only, but it beeps if your driving down the road and hit the lock button...

What action causes it to beep while the vehicle is running? Using the 4-way flashers? Or????

    Thanks!

locking the door ONLY. the beep is activated by power going through the lock wire and deverted to the beep as power is on its way to the lock. no four ways, no signals, nothin. just lock.

Just finished this mod earlier today. Works awesome! Very easy install, took probably 20 minutes.

What set of wires did you use I have an 07, and there are no pink/blue wires like at the beginning of the thread. I redneckified my buzzer with a connector and a paper clip. Pluged it into the blu/blk wires in the same location as the one shown, before cutting into the wires. Got the thing to go off on the unlock before realizing I purchased a siren buzzer. Have to go back to the shack, and get the correct one.

I used one of the pink/blue wires behind the driver-side kick panel, that's next to the black foot rest. There were two of them....I guess I got lucky. When you take that panel out you have a much better view of the wiring. I can take a pic of mine here in a bit to help.

Pic would be great but if you got to tear it apart again dont worry with it, I know how hard it is to get it back together. I will try that location, I was looking behind the coin tray, Thanks

Well I got it finished about 1 in the morning. If you use the clamp connector, "MAKE SURE" you dont put a gorilla grip on it and cut through the blu/pink wire like I did. OOOOOPS!!! Tried the lock buton after cutting the wire, it still worked, the only thing that didn't was the flashing lights. Butt connectors, a jumper wire, lots of F-bombs later, and the job was finished. I think I hit the lock botton a couple hundred times just to hear it, and giggled like a little kid doing something bad. The neighbors dogs were going crazy, but they always do, so a little payback was a good way to end a "quick job". The pic submitted by dmb was a big help. It was the first blue wire in the bundle.
