I think I just came up with a much easier fix.

The switch that tells the 'puter the driver's door is open is located after of the door opening. It's held in place by a large-headed torx screw. There's one hot wire that goes to the switch and the torx screw provides the ground.

I made a rubber washer out of a bicycle tube and put it between the screw and switch.

    Bingo.

Edit: You're dome light doesn't turn on and your headlights won't turn off on auto when you exit the truck.

    Right by your VIN.

Edit (again).... don't do this if you want your dome light to turn on and your headlights to turn off...

Could you edit your post? Maybe something like, You sir, are a frikkin STUD." Or maybe, "stud of all studs."

I always wanted to be a stud.

But does that disable the door open / interior lights on feature?

I just want zero beeps. Gonna get that annoying assed little speaker out and stomp it into bits. Only had the truck 2 weeks, and have had my fill of that annoying shit already.

Have to test that button thing tomorrow. Cause my main issue with the ding is that when you shut off the truck after opening the door. Really do not understand why it dings with that.

Really drove me crazy when I was doing some electrical stuff and kept turning the truck on and off to test it, and the thing would ding but I couldn't close the door because the stuff I was working on was in the sill portion so couldn't close the door

This is the simplest way of making it stop. Just press it once and done. No breaking or cutting things.

Remember if you disable your door pin you may be disabling your alarm.

Are your lights on? That would make it chime. Otherwise it should shut off.

    Hold you're horses.

I just checked it. The dome light doesn't come on and after I turn the truck on (with the headlight switch set on auto), one I open and step out... the lights don't turn off automatically.

    SCRATCH MY BRILLIANT IDEA.

My solution works everytime you open the door and requires no tape and no thought process. Have you ever opened the door while in gear? The buzzer goes crazy (I only open the door in gear during some trail riding to see where the lines were). You still get the warnings via the screen in the cluster just not the sound.

I've never disconnected a buzzer before.. in any car I've had. Had a 86, 04, 11 Toyota truck before this one and I don't require all this electronic shit to get me from point a to b, but I'm starting to enjoy the radio (except for the slick volume knob)!!

    Just found this! https://priuschat.com/threads/fix-those-little-slick-radio-knobs-cheap.178397/
