Looks awesome. I got the extra grille in the mail yesterday. I plan to follow your steps when I paint it. Thanks for the info.

One thing though, automotivetouchup.com doesn't seem to be working the past several times I checked it. Any suggestions on where to get the paint?

    I am looking at: http://www.amazon.com/Dupli-Color-B...98871552&sr=1-2&keywords=toyota+barcelona+red

I have been on their website a lot lately... it works fine for me:

    http://www.automotivetouchup.com/indextest.htm

I recently color matched my lower grill and fog bezels. I was inspired by this thread and was originally going to do the rear bumper, but decided to give the front a facelift first. I will do the rear bumper some other time!

Looks great man! Got me thinking about color matching my rear bumper. I hate chrome and it is the only thing chrome on my truck.

    White bumper would look sweet.

That paint looks good. Just stick w duplicolor primer and clear coat products if you go with that paint so you know they are compatible. Now do it!!! =)

It doesn't look good for a rattle can job, it looks good for any kind of job. I have seen bad paint jobs coming from the so-called pros, good job! I dipped my rear bumper and now I am thinking of doing this after seeing it.

    Thats an awesome looking grill!
Where didja pick that up at?

To the OP looks very good.
The only thing I would complain about is the amount of clear coat/or gloss but other than that looks perfect.

Next, I sanded the heck out my bumper for 3+ hours changing orbital sander pads frequently.

Did you end up sanding the bumper until all of the chrome was completely removed? It looks like it, but I wanted to check because my rear bumper is my next color matching project! Thanks!

A year later and the bumper still looks good. Painted my mirrors today using same technique. Turned out great.
