Is is a great product. IMO the standard Hi Lift + JackMate is the way to go vs purchasing the Hi Lift X-treme. In addition to serving as a winch-clamp-spreader like the X-treme, the jackmate can be used as the base when you need to bite into a surface or places the standard base would not be stable.

Next I am going to relocate my roto pax onto the box and attach a fire extinguisher to it also. I will also be putting eye lets in the box to attach it to the back bed rail.

My jack has been sliding around (rattling) in various outfits for 30+ years - won't know how to act with a place to stow it. Figured I'd fab brackets and hang it on the toolbox - 2x2 tubing on the passenger end - and a stud on the other. Backed with flat-bars. When dreaming this up - saw an outfit on a roof rack that clamped down tight with chrome lug nuts (therefore not finger tight). I got some Dorman 12x1.50mm wheel studs at O-Reillys and a cheapo set of Gorilla lock nuts (for mag wheels) - used them to build the hangers. The wheel locks have tubing (free to spin) over the nut to sort-of defeat the use vise grips or pliers. So far the jack has stayed put.:tumbleweed:

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I am going to make a small-batch of Mounts (Tool, Hi-Lift and T-Mounts) to sell as Kits, but I need to know who wants what, and what "options" people want.

Price is yet to be determined, as I will need to know exactly what/how much of everything to put together.

    Please PM me if interested.

Here's the info. I need: (you can copy/paste into the PM)

    • What Mount(s)?
Tool Mount - incl. (2) Mounts, all necessary installation hardware and (4) Original QuickFists
Hi-Lift Mount - incl. (2) Mounts and all necessary installation hardware and (2) heavy-duty knobs
T-Mount - incl. (1) T-Mount, all necessary hardware and (2) Original QuickFists (for flashlight and hatchet etc.) and (1) Super QuickFist for a standard 5lb. fire extinguisher.

    • Painted Black? Yes/No
    • Plasti-Dipped* base? Yes/No
*actual black rubberized dip, not the spray
    • Pre-Assembled*? Yes/No
      *might affect shipping charges

    • Special Requests?

(Keep in mind, these are not professionally machined by a CNC cutter or welded together. They will be hand-made with blood, sweat, and tears - and may not be 100% perfect)

I'd be interested in a hilift mount. Black with rubberized base, unassembled is fine. Ideally it would be constructed so that once mounted with a jack and lock(s), the brackets couldn't be unscrewed without unlocking and removing the jack. Also, it shouldn't interfere with installing a capper.

Here's a picture of the Hi-Lift mount. I would be making them identical to this:

I'm looking for something a bit more secure, so that when the jack is on the rack, I can lock it- and there would be no way to remove the jack or unscrew the mounts. That's a great design though.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
That can be achieved easily. You can substitute normal bolts for 3/8-16 Security Torx etc. and the knobs for 3/8-16 T-Groove or Pentastar nuts or Locking Wheel lugs etc.

That would fall under the 'Special Requests' category, and you would need to let me know what would want. Typically, any locking nut or tamper-proof system would require special bits or keys, so your input/research would be needed.
