So Big problem here... I was quick splicing into the Purple wire and was clamping it down and then both my DRLs and the marker lights shut off, both sides. The wire isnt cut and everything is connected, checked the DRL fuse and its not blown. But i cant get my DRLs or markers to turn on. any help?

Well after many hours I’m finally all setup. Ended up running add a circuit off the engine. (I can’t see how it would effect the operation like the poster said, maybe didn’t have two fuses in idk. We will see.) Hard to see since its in direct sunlight.

Can anyone verify that tapping into the side markers will allow these to run on both the daytime running lights and night on automatic?

Can you possibly show a pic of where you tapped into your fogs please?

I’ve checked the purple and white with a multi meter and get no current. I’ve tapped them and got nothing so idk how people are getting it. I did add a circuit to the fuel injectors and put a 2A fuse on top and the original 10A on the bottom. Works with no issues.

Thank god reverse polarity doesn't kill these lights. What idiot thought to make the ground white and black is positive?!
That's like the opposite of every electrical wiring related thing I've ever done. I was beginning to think maybe I got defective ones, or that they weren't 12v and I killed them. Looked at Amazon description to find the wiring info.

I’d recommend using an add a fuse instead of tapping into existing wiring. Add a fuse is completely reversible and won’t interfere with the factory wiring. It is super easy as well

I still have mine tapped into the Fuel Injector Add-A-Fuse and still haven't had any problems. I put a 7.5 A mini fuse into the second slot for the raptor lights and no issues yet. The dash lights flicker sometimes on the temperature/seat heater panel but not sure if it's related to the fuel injector...can't see how that would be the case...any insight to this? Engine runs fine though.

same, except with a 5amp fuse. Smallest i had. I think the issue might come from putting another 10 in there and overloading it, but idk.

Has anyone tapped into their fog light wires? I’m thinking of just splicing the power wire and just adding in an extended wire for the leds then just tap each power lead from each led into the main wire and all the grounds just ground somewhere on the truck??

I'm still debating on how to mount these. I currently have two blue emergency lights(for the fire dept) mounted about where the outer two raptor lights would go.

Figured out how to tap into your fogs, there’s a clip for them in the center of our front end that travels up the middle. But on the bottom right above the bumper bracket there’s a spot where the fog lights have a plug, and at that spot I opened the conduit and spliced in my leads to my leds. Everything still running cherry but it’s only the first day lol

Sorry to be replying to an old post, but I'm working on some grill lighting myself and I have a couple questions. I want to do as you suggested and use these connectors to tap wires to power my grill lights, but I see you guys saying to tap the side market lights. Won't that mean that the grill lights will only be on with the parking lights on? I never use the parking lights and I'd really prefer to have the grill lights on with the drls and the low beams, or just all the time. Can you help me understand how to make that work? Thank you

I know you have an sr5 so it’s slightly different. By sidemarker bulb I’m referring to the small bulb under the amber lens on the outside of the truck. This bulb comes on with your marker lights, and stays on with your headlights. It’s only off when only your drl is on. If you want them on with your drl, you can wire it to that. Being that is also your turn signal bulb, I think they will turn off every time you put your turn signal on though.

Ok, that clears it up for me, I do think I want it spliced into the marker light then. Thanks man. Now I just need to find these little wire splice connectors you guys are talking about
